Highlights and Accomplishments

This page is dedicated to showcasing my professional highlights and accomplishments. Here, you will find examples of my past work, along with links to specific projects. I am immensely proud of the opportunities I’ve embraced in these roles. I hope you enjoy this section of my portfolio dedicated to my achievements.

Saving the Date Events: Weddings and Wine

As Social Media Manager, I helped the head event planner and owner create event promotion on the social media to advertise the event Weddings and Wine. This event brought wedding vendors from all over Dallas to the Stoneleigh Hotel as a mini bridal show. Anybody planning on getting married were invited to this event. The Bogle Agency: Vast Clients and Industry Content

During my time as a Social Media Specialist at The Bogle Agency, I was open to different clients and content for industries I haven't been exposed to before this experience. I grew in a short time in writing copy and creating/curating content for these clients. From oil and gas, to real estate, I figured out the right vocabulary and the right media for that said client. Brynn Bagot PR: Love Luncheon Content

My time at Brynn Bagot PR was an amazing experience that opened me to several clients, including Clayton Dabney for Kids with Cancer. While I was on board as a Social Media Coordinator, we helped this client promote their special Valentine's Day themed event called Love Luncheon. They have guest speakers every year who are important figures. This year, they had Barbara Bush, the daughter of President George Bush and First Lady Laura Bush, at the event as the special guest speaker. I created tons of social media content to promote this event. I even made content for the event so the media sponsor, Modern Luxury Dallas, could promote the event on their social media platforms (See the content below). Brynn Bagot PR: Non-Profit Experience

My time at Brynn Bagot PR was an amazing experience that opened me to several clients, but I got the chance to work with a lot of the non-profit clients, Clayton Dabney and KidLinks. When I first worked on these clients, approaching how to do the social media content and copy wasn't new to me. My YMCA experience as a Marketing and Communication Intern back in college gave me my first hand encounter with non-profit organizations, so working with these two clients especially was not challenging as a Social Media Coordinator to do work for at the PR firm. Click here to view all the content created for these non-profit clients.

Saving the Date Events: Writing Experience (Blog Posts)

In addition to my roles in this Social Media Manager position, my boss at Saving the Date also gave me the opportunity to lend a hand when it comes to writing blogs for the website. Over time, I have realized writing blogs have become a huge hit on popular wedding sites and bridal brands. With my writing experience, I realized blog writing isn't at all intimidating especially if you have an idea or inspiration in mind. Recently, I have had helped contribute to the Saving the Date Wedding and Event planning blog by writing trendy and current posts. Saving the Date Events: Social Media Contests and Giveaways

In the challenging times of COVID-19, the team at Saving the Date came up with the great idea of giving back to the community in a special way. "Here for Our Heroes" is a contest that is going on for four weeks and Saving the Date is giving away a month of coordination package to two deserving couples who have made a positive impact on their community during this challenging time of the COVID-19 pandemic. As social media manager, I helped contribute to this contest "Here for Our Heroes" by creating the digital content to post and promote on social media for our followers to see. Click here to see more of this content for the giveaway.

Saving the Date Events - Story Highlights (Instagram)

While working as a Social Media Manager for Saving the Date, I realized with the growing content for these channels that I needed to expand a bit more. I created a couple months back instagram "story highlights" for Saving the Date's account. I used colors that fit the brand and chose appropriate icons for each story highlight. You can check out how I organized and created the highlights by clicking here

Saving the Date Events - Reaching over 1,000 Followers on Instagram

Over the past year, I have grown at Saving the Date from being an intern working with Social Media to the Social Media Manager. In July 2020, the Saving the Date instagram reached over 1,000 followers which is a huge achievement. It has been over a year since taking on this job and I am proud to see it grow. Check out more about this achievement by clicking here.

With guest appearances on Podcasts, there was a need for a creative way to post content about this press. I tested out various avenues, such as SoundWave, Waaves, and Headliner. All are either desktop oriented or apps. I had to create the graphic on Canva, but the other software that helped create the sound waves did the trick. Click here to check out the content for this work experience.

Wildcat Management - Podcast Content
Wildcat Management - Videos on Canva

In this work experience, I learned how to create videos for content via Canva. I was able to create it for Instagram Stories, and for the feed. Check out more examples of the content by clicking here

Wildcat Management - Instagram Takeovers

In this role, the company has recently been a part of Instagram Takeovers. It is a way of giving people a glimpse of the community, where you work etc. Click here for more details on this experience.

Wildcat Management - Link in Bio landing page

Another key skill I have learned in this role is finding ways how to drive traffic. Thanks to a content creating colleague, I learned how to navigate and create a "link in bio" page for the group to showcase all the press, projects, and latest news stories in one click. Learn more about how I have utilized this skill by clicking here

Equity Lifestyle Properties - Digital Marketing Experience

During my time at ELS, I learned a lot about digital marketing, website management, and more. I also learned about vendor coordinating, implementing new services for the benefit of the properties, and did marketing research. I assisted in email newsletters as well. I handled property website requests, and digital listing requests. Most importantly, I learned a lot about web listing management through a software called Yext, which helped facilitate easier changes for Google and Yelp presence.

UT Southwestern Orthopaedic Surgery - Email Marketing

One of the many skills I have grown in while at UT Southwestern was email marketing. The official vendor for email marketing services the university uses is Constant Contact. First, I created department newsletters that are sent monthly to faculty and staff with the department. Later on, we expanded by creating an outreach newsletter sent to Orthopaedic Alumni and UT Southwestern Departments outside of Orthopaedic Surgery. That audience may have a connection in some way to Orthopaedics. The name of that newsletter is the UTSW Orthopaedic Times Newsletter. Click here to view all of the newsletter work.

UT Southwestern Orthopaedic Surgery - Written Publications/Marketing Collateral

A big part of the job is creating written pieces or facilitating/creating marketing collateral. One example of a written piece is the Orthopaedic Journal. It is a year in review type of content that the department likes to create to highlight what happened the past year with faculty and education. I have also written content for the web pages (specifically on .edu). For Marketing Collateral, there has been a process I have learned in order to create these pieces. I work in tandem with the person in the department who requested the piece, and the CMPA team of editorial writers and graphic designers. For example, I worked with my marketing lead to create a Revision Trauma Clinic Card that would be distributed to referring physicians. In order to create that, there was a whole process with the CMPA team, and collaboration with the head doctors of that clinic. UT Southwestern Orthopaedic Surgery - Event Marketing

Immediately after starting this role, I was thrown into event marketing as part of a committee for the UT Southwestern Hansjörg Wyss Geriatric Fracture Symposium. The event is hosted by the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery on the UT Southwestern Campus (June 2-3, 2023). First step in event marketing was Social Media content to help spread the word about a "save the date". Secondly, I worked with the web team to help facilitate the creation of an events page for the department edu site. Third, the next step was working with the other committee members to write an invitation to speakers we have lined up. Fourth, the next steps were to find and create a media plan with a third party vendor to place ads with scientific journals. We worked with the creative team in advance to work with designers to create the collateral, and then I facilitated the delivering of the content to the media group so they can work with the vendor to put out the ad. Over time, my work for this event has involved posters, signage, swag, working with communication teams to get out the message on the event, and more. Click here to follow more on the event marketing process I have learned in being part of the symposium committee.

UT Southwestern Orthopaedic Surgery - Ad Copy/Ad Planning

In my experience at UT Southwestern Orthopaedic Surgery, I learned first hand how to plan Ad placement and to write and produce an ad. This project coincided with the symposium I assisted in event marketing for the department. The head of the committee thought it would be a great idea to place ads in medical journals to get orthopaedic surgeons from across the country to come to the event. The ortho marketing team worked with a third party media company to make the ad placements happen both digitally and in print. This ad was featured in AAOS Now, SAGE Publications and other outlets. In this process, I learned how to write ad copy, which is a bit more extensive than typical copy for social media. We also worked with the design team to make the ad creative happen. To learn more, click here about my experience.

UT Southwestern Orthopaedic Surgery - Profile Videos/Production

A big initiative when I got started at UT Southwestern Orthopaedics was doing profile videos for our faculty. These profile videos live on the faculty profile page on the clinical site. It is a way for patients to see for themselves who their doctor is and what they specialize in as an orthopaedic surgeon. The production and process takes a lot of time due to scheduling both the videographer and the space to film. The video production experience taught me to come prepped with questions and to prep the subject themselves ahead of time. Click here to read more about the profile videos project.

UT Southwestern Orthopaedic Surgery - Social Media Management/Reporting

There is a big part of this job that involves social media management, marketing, and reporting. We have a department Instagram, Twitter/X and Facebook. Each has different audiences. Twitter/X is peer to peer. Instagram is a plethora of candidates for the residency program (med students), peer to peer, and patient. Facebook is purely patient with the exception of doing department wide news announcements. Every month, I have a meeting with my marketing leads and boss on how we did with social media for the month among other marketing updates. Click here for more on that reporting and click here for an example of the reporting deck.
